This summer Fette GmbH organized an exclusive three-day jubilee program at its headquarters in Schwarzenbek near Hamburg to mark the 100th birthday of the company. It was the principle quoted above that served as the motto for the entire event. Some 10,000 visitors from all over the world came to Schwarzenbek in the days between 19 and 21 June 2008 to attend the various events and to congratulate the company.
19 June 2008 Pharmaceuticals Symposium
FETTE Compacting, in its role as market leader in the tabletting technology sector, organized the third Pharmaceuticals Symposium for pharmaceuticals experts who were invited from all over the world.
In the course of the symposium, specialists and users described interesting insights into the theme “Overall Equipment Effectiveness in the Pharmaceuticals Industry” and followed this with a discussion of the latest research results and innovations.
The day was successfully concluded with a boat trip around the port of Hamburg and the subsequent festive event in the Fischauktionshalle.
20 June 2008 Celebratory event to mark the 100th jubilee and opening of the new innovation and training center
On Friday, June 20th, a great celebratory event was held for our customers, business partners, suppliers, friends and our shareholders and their families. This was to mark the company’s 100th jubilee, as well as the opening of the new innovation and training center on the company premises in Schwarzenbek.
The illustrious guests who congratulated the company included not only the former chief minister of Baden-Württemberg, Prof. Lothar Späth, but also the former economic minister of Schleswig-Holstein Dietrich Austermann, the District Administrator of the rural district of Herzogtum Lauenburg Gerd Krämer as well as Frank Ruppert, the mayor of Schwarzenbek.
The industry was represented by the VDMA president Manfred Wittenstein and the chief executive officer of the Lübeck Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Prof. Bernd Rohwer, who also offered their congratulations.
Following the festive ceremony the shareholders of the Leitz group of companies, Monika Brucklacher and Regine Bengel, officially opened the new innovation and training center.
21 June 2008 Open House at Fette
Even before the working gates were officially opened at 11 am, company employees and their families and guests from the region were pouring onto the company premises. The visitors had high expectations – and these were amply fulfilled thanks to the wide variety of entertainment acts and the interesting supporting program.
During guided tours of the production halls the visitors had the chance to look behind the scenes of a modern industrial company and to learn about the fascinating complex technology involved in the Fette products. The dedicated and highly motivated employees presented their workplaces to the guests, answered the many questions put to them and explained their daily work in extensive detail.
The “World of Fette” theme center set out the company’s history of innovation. Meanwhile, in the company marketplace, the visitors were able to listen to live music on the festival stage, enjoy refreshing cold drinks, meet friends and acquaintances and sample culinary delights from the various pavilions.
The kids had plenty to entertain them as well, with bull riding, a bungee-run, bouncy castles, children’s make-up, go-karts and an appearance by the puppet character “Bernd the Bread”.
The open house proved to be a great success. Thanks to the good weather and the attractive afternoon program some 8,000 visitors came to find out more about the company at the various production stations.
