DIRECT TORQUE DRIVE

Fitting direct torque drives to Fette Compacting tablet presses brings a whole range of advantages whose cumulative effect is seen in significantly higher profitability and improved workplace conditions.

The torque drive is a synchronous motor with a large number of poles and permanent magnet excitation with optional water cooling. The extremely high torque density in the low and medium speed ranges makes this motor particularly suitable for driving tablet presses. The combination of high overload capacity with very concentric running means that the torque motor is ideal for this demanding application.

The torque drive is located in the drive compartment directly under the turret, and linked to it rigidly. The wide range of rotary speeds means that the press can be operated under optimum conditions.

The omission of the important wearing parts, such as gearboxes and the belt drive, means that the drive chamber of the press needs almost no servicing. The optionally integrated water cooling permits optimum dispersal of heat with a high protection class. This allows air cooling to be omitted, which in turn significantly reduces noise emission.
