Merck’s second largest pharmaceutical production site is currently taking shape on the east coast of China, just around a two-hour drive away from Shanghai. When the factory reaches full capacity in 2021, plans call for the production of ten billion tablets a year in Nantong. The tablet presses required to achieve this come from Fette Compacting.

With the world launch of the FE75 tablet press in 2014, Fette Compacting completed the FE series, a series that stands for maximum efficiency in pharmaceutical production. 10 years earlier, Fette Compacting had founded a subsidiary in the Chinese city of Nanjing whose 10-year anniversary was celebrated in October. The construction of the customer center in Schwarzenbek has laid the foundation for a new chapter of growth.
