Whether round tablets, special shapes, engraved, concave or snap-tabs, the tableting tool is adapted exactly to customer requirements. Quality and precision are of paramount importance during tool construction: Fette Compacting manufactures the key components to minimum tolerances, tighter than those prescribed by TMS or EU standards.
In doing this, standard tools are produced in accordance with EU "B" standard (EU19/TSM19) and EU "D" standard (EU1"/TSM1"). The product range also includes specially shaped punches such as EU45 for simplified pressing of washing agent tablets.
WiP design
Tableting processes with "Wash in Place" (WiP) put particular demands on the press punches. They need to be extremely corrosion- and wear-resistant. For this reason, Fette Compacting uses high chromium content alloy steels. These high-performance tools are often the first choice even for producing corrosive products such as effervescent tablets.
